Commandeur Mechanical is a heavy-duty Automotive Repair facility conveniently located in the Crossroads North Industrial Park, 5 minutes north of the City of Grande Prairie in the hamlet of Clairmont, AB.  We specialize in Fleet Maintenance services and Automotive Repairs.

Our company requires an Automotive Service Technician with your abilities as a confident mechanic and a strong work ethic.    You must be a Journeyman Red Seal or well on your way to becoming a Journeyman.   You will be expected to work with minimal supervision and perform very well.

Essential Skills/Duties:

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faulty operations and repair automotive vehicles, including cars, SUVs, light and medium-duty trucks.
• Adjust, test and repair engines, steering systems, braking systems, drive trains, vehicle suspensions, electrical systems and air-conditioning systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups, and
• Maintain and operate repair shop equipment and other repair tools.
• Participate in training to keep product knowledge current.
• Interact with customers and fellow employees professionally and courteously.
• Perform all required tasks efficiently while maintaining quality and a safe working environment.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Education:

Red Seal in Automotive Service Technician is preferred – 2^nd,3^rd  and 4^th  year apprentices will be considered.

Candidates must be registered with the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training program.

Have or be able to obtain a valid CVIP ticket.

Experience

3-5 Years relevant experience of diagnostics and repairs on automotive vehicles up to and including 3-5 ton trucks

Compensation

Compensation rate is based on level of experience.
